The decision as to what to do beyond high school is a difficult one. As a result, it is important to begin career planning early as it takes time to assess interests, research possibilities, develop skills, select electives, etc., in order to pave a path for the future.
To be effective in this process, a combination of parent, community, school and student involvement are critical.
