The Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association (SHSAA) has recognized Sun West Superintendent Vicki Moore for her many years as a coach and other contributions to high school athletics. The SHSAA Merit Awards recognize both years of long-standing service to student athletics, leadership roles within the SHSAA as well as outstanding achievements as a coach and student athlete mentor. In addition to this amazing work, Ms. Moore was also instrumental in establishing the Women in Sport Conference, which has proven a great catalyst for many young women taking leadership roles in sports and beyond.
“We are so very proud of Vicki and her accomplishments,” stated Sun West Director of Education Randy Emmerson. “We can’t think of a more worthy recipient of the Merit Award. We have been so fortunate to have Vicki’s leadership here in Sun West and are glad to see her get this well-deserved recognition,” he added.
On June 29, Lance Morrison, the President of the West Central High School Athletic Association presented Vicki with the Merit Award. The picture above features Mr. Morrison (left) presenting the award to Ms. Moore (right).
