Grade Tens from Eatonia and Marengo Enjoy CWEX Experience

One of great opportunities open to students in Sun West are work placements through Career Work Experience (CWEX). CWEX is offered to all Grade 10 students and hundreds of students every year are placed in jobs throughout their communities. This is possible through the generous support of numerous businesses and agencies who provide work placements and give students a taste of the work world.

Students at Eaton School in Eatonia and Westcliffe Composite School in Marengo had work placements in a number of local businesses and agencies. Featured above you can see some of these students at work. Top row (l-r) Addison Larock at the Kindersley Hospital, Macy O’Connor at the Rural Municipality of Eatonia, Sierra Smolinski at the Kindersley Veterinary Clinic, Ariel Donald at the Garden Gallery in Kindersley, Owen Beaupre at the Kindersley and District Co-op in Eatonia and Addisyn Connolly at Bredy’s Construction in Eatonia.

Congratulations to these students for their successful work placements and a big thank you to the employers for providing these students with these great opportunities. If you are interested in a CWEX work placement, speak with your school’s Career Development Teacher.
