Student Artwork Contest

Every year Sun West holds a Student Artwork Contest with the winning selections being displayed at the Sun West Division Office in Rosetown for the following year. Information on the contest will be sent out to schools every year.

The first year was 2022-23 and 200 students entered the Contest.

In 2022-23 the theme for the art was that it needed to be hand-drawn and reflect the communities, landscapes, rural living, heritage, education and natural landmarks within Sun West. Students could enter in the following categories: Kindergarten to Grade 3; Grades 4-6; Grades 7-9; and Grades 10-12.

The art of the first and second place winners in each category are currently displayed on canvas in the Division Office and presentation ceremonies were held at the schools of all the winners. In addition the classes of all the winners received a pizza party as well.
