On October 3-4, five Sun West educators participated in the Systems of Equity for Women in Education Symposium organized by the Saskatchewan League of Educational Administrators, Directors and Superintendents (LEADS).

The Symposium was both informative and thought-provoking. The keynote and sessional speakers were from a cross-section of leadership areas, and each gave excellent presentations on the challenges women still face in attaining parity in leadership across the world. Other topics discussed were how working women can juggle the many demands of career, home and family. Self-care and mental health strategies and tools were also presented by experts in the field.

All in all, it was very rich in educational content and as the participants felt they learned a lot.
