Professional Development

Sun West considers professional development important and provides teachers and other staff with many opportunities for training and learning. Every fall, all Sun West teachers gather for iLearn, a full-day of professional development in Rosetown. Above teachers at the 2024 iLearn listen to a presentation about the implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to education.

To meet the needs of Sun West students, Sun West teachers base their methods and assessment practices on research and best practices. Through a commitment to professional development, Sun West educators continuously learn and adapt to provide high-quality instruction. Throughout the year, Sun West staff have opportunities to participate in division-level and school-level workshops and professional development opportunities.
