Absence Management (formerly Aesop) is the online program used by Sun West, which allows regular employees to enter absences, and allows substitutes to accept available days of work.
In order for Absence Management to operate efficiently, employees are required to login to set up their preferred subs. In addition, there may be subs who are not a suitable replacement, for example, an elementary teacher may not be a suitable replacement for a high school welding teacher.

Absence Management is the online program accessible to approved substitutes in Sun West to accept available sub days replacing absent employees. Substitutes may login from a smartphone or computer, or may call in to accept available days. In addition, Absence Management will contact subs by phone for absences occurring within the next 48 hours but will only call during the division set call times. To ensure that Absence Management works efficiently, substitutes should login to update their contact number, set preferred schools, and enter any non-work days (days in which you are not interested or available to sub).
