Lauren Johb will be the new Sun West School Division Human Resources Manager starting on October 21, 2024.
“We are excited to have Lauren join the Sun West team,” declared Sun West Director of Education Vick Moore. “She comes to us with impressive credentials, wonderful experience, and a strong background in fostering staff well-being,” she added.
Ms. Johb earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan in 2012 and a Master of Arts in Disability Management from the University of Northern British Columbia in2016. She also been certified in Effective Responses to Workplace Mental Health(2024), Professional Project Management (2023), Professional Disability Management (2017), and Ergonomics (2014).
Ms. Johb comes to Sun West from the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) Human Resource department, where she most recently held the Manager of Accommodation and Attendance Management-Rural position based in Rosetown since 2020. In this role, she was a personnel and project team leader, focusing on such areas as change management, learning/training development, process mapping, and provincial standardization. She has also held a Project Lead role for the implementation of the MyWellbeing program to support the overall wellness for all SHA employees.
Ms. Johb is also an active community member, currently serving the Walter Aseltine School in Rosetown School Community Council and various other board positions for organizations in Biggar and Rosetown.
“Coming into the Human Resource Manager role,” Ms. Johb explained, “I am most looking forward to being able to support those who help the children in Sun West School Division grow and explore new skills. I am passionate about supporting others in the workplace and creating opportunities for them to thrive. I believe building relationships is key to cultivating growth and success for all.”
