On January 28, Sun West held its annual School Community Council (SCC) Chairs Meeting and Professional Development Session in Rosetown at the Sun West Learning Centre. Chairs or other SCC representatives and in-school Administrators from 15 Sun West schools were in attendance as well as Trustees and Senior Sun West Leadership.
They had the opportunity to meet the members of the recently elected Sun West Board of Education, most of who were in attendance and heard greetings from Board Chair Michele Whitfield. The Board Chair thanked the SCC members for their dedication to helping Sun West students succeed.
A major focus of the evening was on School Engagement and Alignment Plans. Sun West Learning Consultant Pam Sawatzky led the activity and provided useful ideas and suggestions on how to create successful plans.
