Denaye McMahon will be a new Vice-Principal at Biggar Central School 2000 starting in the fall of 2024.
“Denaye has been a teacher in Biggar for quite some time,” said Sun West Director of Education Vicki Moore, “and we are very happy that she will be bringing her wealth of experience to the role of Vice-Principal.”
Mrs. McMahon graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996 with a Bachelor of Education. Upon completing her degree, she accepted a Grade 4 teaching position at Woodrow Lloyd School in the former Biggar School Division. She has remained teaching in Biggar for her entire career, teaching a variety of grades from Kindergarten to Grade 11, as well as various music classes throughout the elementary grades.
Mrs. McMahon loved the opportunity to teach hundreds of students over her time as a classroom teacher, and is very proud of all her students' growth in learning. In 2021, Mrs. McMahon transitioned into the role of Student Support Teacher atBCS2000, where she thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work with various students, and support their personal learning journeys.
Mrs. McMahon has participated in a variety of instructional leadership roles at BCS2000, as well in the Sun West School Division.
Mrs. McMahon is very excited about the opportunity to join a terrific administration team at BCS2000 as a Vice-Principal. "I am very excited for the opportunity to join the BCS2000 school leadership team and to work alongside students, staff, and families to ensure that every student feels safe, supported, and valued in their learning journey.
